TANUKI NOW OPEN IN SOUTH BEACH
Pan—Asian Restaurant Debuts First United States Location in South Beach
MIAMI — Tanuki, a Pan-Asian cuisine with more than sixty locations worldwide, has upscale version of the concept with its United States debut in Miami Beach. Located in South Beach's bustling Alton Road at the corner of 1th Street, Tanuki offers high-quality Asian flare based on traditional Japanese recipes and authentic flavors. The concept by the mythical Japanese talisman of good fortune.
"We have designed a concept and menu locals and tourists alike will enjoy and visit time and time again," says Drew Andrade, Tanuki’s Executive Chef. "The brand's reputation for Pan-Asian cuisine is made from fresh organic ingredients and curated for the South Beach crowd," says Andrade.
Tanuki's extensive menu, spanning faithful rendition of Imperial favorites, features classics such as sushi, sashimi, specialty rolls, and signature entrees including Tanuki's take on Peking Duck. Tanuki's cocktail program, led by bar manager Thomas Latosone, highlights Asian ingredients with unique libations. An exciting dim sum menu and an outdoor shisha experience will both debut in the near future.
A striking central feature of Tanuki is the expansive wrap around bar that seats 20. The wood-top bar faces into the open kitchen concept, allowing guests to be immersed in the culinary workings of the restaurant. Above, a decorative LED panel wraps around the length of the bar. Guests are able to order their meal at the bar while enjoying Tanuki's elevated cocktail and sake program which features an impressive wine list and variety of sakes from different regions of Japan.
Tanuki has 100 indoor and outdoor seats and evokes a lively, welcoming vibe with sophisticated accents designed by highly-acclaimed Russian hospitality designer Andrey Zigankov of Studio Nograph and interpreted locally by Charles Benson Architecture. In true Tanuki fashion, a giant Statue of the mythical creature is the focal point of the dining room. The unique design of the restaurant also features reclaimed barn-wood walls, steel beams, and an open kitchen.
Tanuki is located at 1080 Alton Rd, Miami Beach, FL 33139 and is open daily for lunch, dinner and late night, from 12 p.m. — 12 a.m. Small plates range from $7 to $14 and large plates average between $12 to $24. For more information, please visit:
