Tanuki Miami Has All of Your Lunch Needs Covered
At Tanuki Miami, for just $23 you can enjoy a miso soup, a salad, an appetizer, main dish and a dessert. Lunch is offered from 12pm – 3pm daily. If that’s not a good deal, I don’t know what is. I started with the Tuna Crispy Rice – Scallion, Spicy Sauce. This has become one of my favorite things to eat and I always look for it on any menu. The rice was perfectly crispy and the tuna was cold, with the perfect mix of spicy mayo.
Some other options for the appetizer I tried were the Wagyu Tacos and the Yellowtail Truffle Roll –yellowtail, chili daikon, avocado and tenkasu. The two wagyu tacos have such great flavor, they are small but mighty! I was a little hesitant to try this roll because I’m not a huge fan of truffle. However, it was just the right amount of truffle flavor and not overpowering at all, Tanuki nailed it.
Very delicious roll and I recommend you order it! For my main dish I ordered the Cashew Chicken- Mixed Vegetables, Cashews, Chili, Sweet Soy. I love cashew chicken and this definitely met my standard. It was spicy but not overpowering, the chicken was crisp and coated in the delicious sauce. The portion size was just the right amount for lunch.
The dessert for the lunch menu is your selection of mochi. These are basically little ice cream balls that are wrapped in a sweet rice paper. I love them so much. Tanuki’s options are raspberry, white chocolate, green tea, vanilla and guava.
Tanuki Miami also has a selection of some really gorgeous craft cocktails. One of the ones I tried was the BEES-E– Gin, Ricard, Yuzu, Honey Water, Shiso and Fresh Grapefruit. This drink is beautiful and has great flavor, it’s super refreshing for sitting outside in Miami.
Since it was my first time experiencing this restaurant I decided to also order some items off of the regular menu. By other items I mean dessert, ha! The Green Tea Fondant is quite delicious. I’m a lava cake and green tea lover so when I saw that these two things were combined I had to try it! I was not disappointed. YUM!
